The Next Generation of Energy Smart Track Lighting from Lightolier: Mini HID Blends High Performance and Sustainability in an Uncommonly Small Profile
Fall River, MA (PRWEB) May 29, 2007 -- Lightolier, the leader in interior lighting for over a century, has introduced Lytespan Mini HID energy smart track lighting. Combining high performance ceramic metal halide lamps with the latest micro ballast technology, Mini HID boasts a small profile rarely seen in metal halide luminaires. Mini HID meets users' sustainability goals by offering up to 70% energy savings when compared to incandescent spotlights and a three to four times longer lamp life - without compromising architectural design.
"Energy codes are getting stricter, particularly in retail and other commercial settings," says Vice President & General Manager of Lightolier's Track Lighting Business Unit Ken Mackenzie. "Ceramic metal halide lamps provide significant energy savings, but the fixtures that accommodate them have traditionally been bulky and architecturally displeasing. Mini HID incorporates new ballast technology that gives it a sleek, unobtrusive profile ideal for a variety of settings, and won't compete with - or detract from - the interior design of a space."
The Mini HID family fits existing Lytespan track systems and comprises five different lamp types, including the newest 20-Watt miniatures and a full range of PAR lamps. Multiple light control accessories are available, including hex cell louvers, diffusers and other special filters, and color filters. Mini HID fixtures are available in white, black and aluminum finishes.
